When does MusicStaff launch?
The app is in private testing now, and early-access invites go out market by market — organizers first, so musicians arrive to real paid dates. Tell us your city; it is the biggest factor in where we open next.
Who pays the 10% service fee?
The organizer, on top of the rate. On a $320 booking the organizer is charged $352 and the musician is paid the full $320. Nothing is deducted from a musician's payout.
How does holding the payment work?
Confirming a booking charges the organizer and MusicStaff holds the amount. It releases to the musician 24 hours after the service, or sooner if the organizer releases it. Reporting an issue before then pauses the release.
What if someone does not show up, or cancels?
Check-in is confirmed at the venue, so a missed date is in the booking record rather than in dispute. Cancellation windows and the refund that applies to each are shown before anyone confirms, and refunds are processed by the platform.
How do you verify musicians?
Government-ID verification with a selfie check is required before a first payout. Profiles then build a public play history and two-way reviews from completed services.
What does it cost to try?
Nothing. Joining, building a profile, posting a date and reviewing applicants are free. We only charge the 10% fee when a booking is confirmed.
